The Freeport Community Foundation is proud to introduce our newly formed Youth Advisory Council (YAC). Many students participate in the Highland Community College Servant Leadership Program led by Kim Pool.  This first ever YAC board, is comprised of teens from: Aquin, Dakota, Eastland, Freeport, Highland Community College, Home School, Lena, Orangeville,  Pearl City, Stockton and Warren High Schools.  Clayton Shick a senior at Orangeville HS is the president.

The goal is to teach teens about philanthropy through mentoring them about grants and giving right here in northwest IL.

Coordinating and mentoring this program are: Kim Pool, Connie Taylor, James Rhyne and foundation Executive Director, Cindy Rotblat.

So, how can we help? You can send a check made to the Freeport Community Foundation and mention that it is for the Community Crisis Relief fund.
