Annual Reports
In 1975, the Freeport Community Trust was established by a group of local forward-thinking citizens who wanted to ensure a permanent source of funds for local charitable organizations.
In 1998, the Board of Directors changed the name to the Freeport Community Foundation, and in 2002, the Board of Directors updated the structure of the organization from a simple trust to a not-for-profit corporation.
We firmly believe that the Foundation belongs to the community. It is like a “community savings account” for people to give back to the community in which they lived, worked and raised their families. It serves its donors, nonprofit organizations and institutions and the community as a whole.
People who care, with causes that matter.
